President's Message

THE BIRTH OF HOPE

The miracle is not that we do this work, but that we are happy to do it - Mother Theresa

It’s been a long walk, long but a worthy walk to a laudable cause. It’s taken so much efforts and commitment, but every bit of sweat, of stress and tireless toiling invested into a project aimed at healing our sickly world is worth the price. In Babcock, taking the path of least resistance is as good as failure! Though, where we are today, is far from our dreamed destination, it’s sure a clear start to our dreamed healthcare delivery system yet unravelled in Africa.

From the bright morning of April 20, 1999 when it was accredited as a full fledge University to the beautiful morning of May 1, 2008, when the Medical Campaign Programme was launched officially, Babcock has unflinchingly nurtured and coddled the dream of healing Africa at her place of greatest wounds and pain, Education and healthcare. Today, we don’t have to proof our impacts on Nigerian education: our products are more than testimonials, they are our pride!

In the words of a popular German poet and novelist, Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe; Take care of your body with steadfast fidelity. The soul must see through the eyes alone, and if they are dim, the whole world is clouded. We are driven by a philosophy, that a healthy man is a wealthy man: Every man has a right to quality, prompt and unconditional medical attention. And, as we promised a few years ago, Babcock is launching not only a teaching hospital. It’s the birth of hope, the birth of comfort and revival to our dilapidated medical structure!

We are proud to kick-start a movement toward a world-class healthcare training and service that is second to none across the globe. We are proud to lead a campaign for the restoration of the dignity of human life through the provision of life-saving facilities, trainings and medical missionaries. We are elated to kick-start a culture that will put a stop to needless and wanton waste of lives across the corners of Africa! We are proud to bring back the touch of hope to lighten once again the embers of light in our medical world and illuminate Africa!

Babcock is here with the substance of Hope!

Yes, you may say the dream is high but we will rather see it as lofty. You say the dream is tough and unusual, we rather see it as being novel. We’ve decided to break the limit and redefine the practise of medicine across the continent of Africa! That’s why we lead the rest, that is why we are Babcock!
